Bear River City zoning code

8D.3.10.2 Dead-End Roads

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Bear River City code is at https://www.bearrivercityutah.gov/city-ordinances/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Partial copy: chapters 1, 2, 3, 7 (the zone districts) and 10 are scanned images on the city's site and are not included. Use the official code for those. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Bear River City planning before you rely on it.
(Permanent) Where a road does not extend to the boundary of the subdivision and its continuation is not required by the Planning Commission for access to adjoining property, its terminus shall normally not be nearer to such boundary than fifty (50) feet. However, the Planning Commission may require the reservation of an appropriate easement to accommodate drainage facilities, pedestrian traffic, snow removal/storage or utilities. A cul-de-sac turnaround shall be provided at the end of a permanent dead-end street in accordance with construction standards and specifications. For greater convenience to traffic and more effective police and fire protection, permanent dead-end streets shall, in general, be limited in length to six hundred and fifty (650) feet.
