Who we are

utahzoning.com is a website of Team Utah Commercial, a team brokered by RE/MAX Associates, 6955 S Union Park Center, Suite 140, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84047. Each Office Independently Owned and Operated. Stockton Farnsworth is a licensed Utah Associate Broker. Real estate licensing in Utah is overseen by the Utah Division of Real Estate.

Zoning summaries

A broker zoning summary is general information a real estate broker gathers from public records, such as a city's zoning map and code, as they read on the day we look. Zoning codes change, maps can be out of date, and cities interpret their own rules. The summary is not legal or zoning advice, not a zoning verification letter, and not a promise that any project will be approved. Only the city or county can confirm what is allowed. Confirm with the city or county planning department, and talk to a land use attorney, engineer or surveyor before you rely on it.

When we refer to a city's or county's code, we link to the official source and quote only short passages. The official version controls.

Why it's free, and no obligation

We offer zoning summaries free because some people later hire us to buy, sell or lease property. Asking for one does not create an agency relationship or any obligation. If you hire us, the terms, including how we are paid, are set out in a written agreement first.

If you already have a broker

If you have signed an agreement with a real estate broker for the property, or to find you a property, please ask that broker. We do not take requests from people who are already represented. If you answer "not sure", we ask again on our first call, before doing any work.
