Box Elder County zoning code

4-7-040 Permitted Uses

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Box Elder County code is at https://www.boxeldercountyut.gov/241/Land-Use-Management-Development-Code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 5-4 (Flood Damage Prevention) is a scanned image on the county's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Box Elder County planning before you rely on it.
A. Permitted Uses. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of this Code, a residential facility for elderly persons and a residential facility for persons with a disability shall be permitted uses in any zone where a dwelling is allowed as a permitted or conditional use subject to the development standards in Section 4-7-050 of this Chapter. A facility is devoted to a use other than a residential facility for elderly persons or a residential facility for persons with a disability. 2. Any license or certification issued by the Utah Department of Health or the Department of Human Services for such facility terminates or is revoked. 3. The facility fails to comply with requirements set forth in this Chapter.
