Box Elder County zoning code

6-1-170 Review by the Planning Commission – Preliminary Subdivisions

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Box Elder County code is at https://www.boxeldercountyut.gov/241/Land-Use-Management-Development-Code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 5-4 (Flood Damage Prevention) is a scanned image on the county's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Box Elder County planning before you rely on it.
The Planning Commission shall review the preliminary plat and determine compliance with the standards and criteria set forth in Section 6-1-130 and all other applicable ordinances of the County and the State of Utah. There shall be one (1) review cycle for the preliminary plat; the review shall be completed within 15 business days of receiving a complete application as outlined in Section 6-1-130. A review cycle shall not be considered complete until the applicant has complied with all review comments. The preliminary plat shall be presented to the Planning Commission in accordance with Section 6-1-130-C.
