Brian Head zoning code

9-12-4 CONSTRUCTION ON SLOPES EXCEEDING TWENTY FIVE PERCENT

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Brian Head code is at https://brianheadtown.utah.gov/town-code/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Brian Head planning before you rely on it.
Lots with the building or disturbance area identified on slopes of twenty five percent (25%) (14 degrees) to forty percent (40%) (21.8 degrees) warrant especially close review to assure that all grading, retaining wall, cut/fill and road/driveway grade standards will meet the requirements of this title and currently adopted building codes, design, and construction standards. Construction or lot disturbance shall not take place on slopes exceeding forty percent (40%) (21.8 degrees), except for lots legally subdivided prior to the adoption date hereof. The design shall minimize lot disturbance and removal of existing vegetation and provide erosion protection. (ord. 08-016, 8-122008, amd. ord. 24-014, 10-8-24)
