Cache County zoning code

16.04.010 SUBDIVISION LAYOUT

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Cache County code is at https://www.cachecounty.gov/assets/department/clerk/cachecountyut-ut-2.pdf. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Titles 16 and 17 only, from the PDF on the county's own website (prepared by its code publisher; publisher notes removed). Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Cache County planning before you rely on it.
A. The subdivision layout shall conform to the Cache countywide comprehensive plan, this title, and all other requirements of state code and this code. B. Where trees, groves, waterways, scenic points, historic spots or other county assets and landmarks, as determined by the land use authority, are located within a proposed subdivision, every practical means shall be provided to preserve these features. Staff may provide recommendations from qualified organizations to aid in the determination of these features. C. Whenever a tract to be subdivided adjoins or embraces any part of an existing road as claimed by the county or a proposed road designated within the countywide comprehensive plan, such part of the public way shall be platted and dedicated to the county.
