Cleveland zoning code

2-5-4.1 INTENT

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Cleveland code is at http://www.clevelandtown.org/planning--zoning.htm. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Zoning ordinance only; the subdivision ordinance is a scanned image on the town's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Cleveland planning before you rely on it.
The I-1 Industrial Zone covers the portion of the Town which is primarily suited for industrial and manufacturing uses. The I-1 Industrial Zone has been established for the primary purpose of providing a location where manufacturing, processing, warehousing and fabrication of goods and material can be carried on most appropriately and with minimum conflict or deleterious effects upon surrounding properties. This zone is characterized by a mixture of industrial, manufacturing, and processing establishments with intermittent open land that is served by streets, power, water and other utilities and facilities or where such facilities can be readily provided.
