Cleveland zoning code

2-9.4 FEES AND FINANCIAL CAPABILITY

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Cleveland code is at http://www.clevelandtown.org/planning--zoning.htm. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Zoning ordinance only; the subdivision ordinance is a scanned image on the town's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Cleveland planning before you rely on it.
A. The applicant for a permit or license to operate a congregate living facility shall pay the applicable license and permit fees as set by the Town Council. Applicant shall also provide proof of financial capability to insure timely restitution to any member of the public suffering damage as a result of intentional or negligent conduct by members of the staff or residents of the facility. Proof of financial capability may take the form of insurance, bonds, or financial reserves. Proof of financial capability shall be resubmitted to the Town annually or sooner if significantly changed.
