Daniel zoning code

8.21.11 Height of Buildings

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Daniel code is at https://danielutah.gov/code-and-ordinances/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Title 8 only; a separate 2025 subdivision amendment ordinance is not merged in. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Daniel planning before you rely on it.
(1) Minimum Height of Buildings: No dwelling shall be erected which has a ceiling height of less than eight (8) feet above the average level of the ground on which the dwelling is located. (2) Maximum Height. (a) Churches. Churches are a conditional use in all zoning districts. In the event that a conditional use is granted for a greater height, than is permitted in the zone, additional setbacks may be required. (b) Structures Not for Human Occupancy. Chimneys, flagpoles, clock towers, church towers, and similar structures not used for human occupancy or industrial uses, are excluded in determining height, except as specifically otherwise required in this title. (c) Residential Structures. Height of residential structures are contained in the individual zones.
