Daniel zoning code

8.21.29 Standards for Detached Accessory Structures

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Daniel code is at https://danielutah.gov/code-and-ordinances/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Title 8 only; a separate 2025 subdivision amendment ordinance is not merged in. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Daniel planning before you rely on it.
(1) Accessory buildings (regardless of their use) over two hundred (200) square feet, must apply for a building permit. If the structure is determined to be an agricultural use, no fees will be charged for the building permit, unless inspections are necessary. (2) Any accessory building over two thousand five hundred (2,500) square feet must have restroom facilities, unless the accessory structure is within three hundred (300) feet of the main dwelling. If the structure is determined to be an agricultural use such as hay barn, lounging shed, stable, etc., restroom facilities are not required.
