Erda zoning code

2-1 DEFINITIONS: Context

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Erda code is at https://erda.gov/city-codes-and-maps/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Erda planning before you rely on it.
Unless the context requires otherwise, the following definitions shall be used to interpretation and construction of the Erda Land Use Ordinance. Words used in the present tense include the future; the singular number shall include the plural, and the plural the singular; “building” shall consist of the word “structure”; the words “used” or “occupied” shall include arranged, designed, constructed, placed, located, altered, converted, rented, leased, or intended to be used or occupied; the word “shall” is mandatory and not directory, the word “may” is permissive; the word “person” includes a firm, association, organization, partnership, trust, company, or corporation as well as an individual; the word “lot” does not include the words plot, and parcel.

1-20 GENERAL PROVISIONS: Limit on pending applications per parcel · 2-2 DEFINITIONS: Definitions (part 1 of 2)
