24-1-1 SIGN REGULATIONS: Adoption by Reference

Chapter 24 of the Tooele County Land Use Ordinance that existed on July 1, 2022, is adopted by this reference. Such regulations and diagrams shall be construed to apply only to the area located within the City’s incorporated boundaries, and such regulations shall be interpreted and construed where necessary to mean the City, the Council, the Council Chair, and the City’s other officers, employees, appointed bodies, and contract providers, as determined by the Council to carry out the intent of this Ordinance. Any reference to a zone or a use in a zone that does not exist in the Erda shall be deemed null and void and without effect. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, certain terms in the portions of the County Code adopted hereby shall be replaced wherever appropriate by the following substitute terms: “city” shall be substituted for and shall replace the term “county,” “Erda” shall be substituted for and shall replace the term “Tooele County,” “city council” shall be substituted for and shall replace the terms “county council,” “board of county commissioners” or similar terms, and land use authority shall be substituted for and shall replace the term “board of adjustment.”
