Fountain Green zoning code

1.2 SCOPE AND APPLICATIONS

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Fountain Green code is at http://fountaingreencity.gov/government/planning-and-zoning/index.html. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Fountain Green planning before you rely on it.
The provisions of this Chapter apply to all land and uses of land within the City. This Chapter became effective on February 18, 2008, and may be amended from time to time. A lot annexed and zoned that does not meet the minimum lot standards of this Chapter, may be used notwithstanding such requirements, if such lot was otherwise validly created subject to Sanpete County buffer zone requirements for Fountain Green City. This ordinance has been designed to protect and promote the rural character of Fountain Green City, which is strongly valued by its residents. Prospective future residents should be advised that the prevalent lifestyle in Fountain Green City might not be agreeable to all tastes. In establishing the zones, the boundaries thereof, and the regulations and restrictions applicable to each of the zones, due and careful consideration was given, among other things, to the suitability of the land for uses to the character of the zone and encouraging the most appropriate use of the land throughout the City.
