Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Garden City code is at https://www.gardencityutah.gov/code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Garden City planning before you rely on it.
Accessory buildings need to be entirely in the rear or side yard and 6’ away from main dwelling structure. Accessory buildings shall have a 30’ front setback and a 3’ side or rear setback for up to a 15’ structure. A 1’ additional setback for each additional foot over 15’ in height is required.
