Genola zoning code

20.06.04 CALCULATING PARKING REQUIREMENTS

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Genola code is at https://genolaut.gov/zoning-code/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Genola planning before you rely on it.
1. Whenever parking requirements are based on square footage, calculations shall be based on net square footage of the building or use. Net square footage excludes rest rooms, stairways, elevator shafts, mechanical and electrical rooms, janitorial closets and common areas used only for major pedestrian movement, such as enclosed malls and public lobby areas. 2. When a structure or parcel contains multiple uses, more than one parking standard may apply. 3. Available on-street parking spaces cannot be used to meet the requirements of this Ordinance. No development plans shall be based on the assumption that excess vehicles can be parked on public streets.
