Interlaken zoning code

11.07.070 Trees and Vegetation

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Interlaken code is at https://www.interlakenut.gov/documents-02. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Interlaken planning before you rely on it.
The following requirements shall apply throughout the Town: Existing Trees and Vegetation. Every effort to save all full-size existing trees on a property shall be made by the owner. Existing trees shall not be cut unless absolutely required for placement of structures or infrastructure or for public safety purposes. In areas determined by the Fire Marshal to be highly susceptible to fire hazards, vegetation up to 30 feet from the perimeter of a structure shall be selectively pruned and thinned, but not clear cut, for fire protection purposes.
