Leeds zoning code

7.7 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Leeds code is at https://leeds.utah.gov/town-code/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 10 is a scanned image on the town's site and is not included; chapter 19 is a placeholder and chapter 23 was repealed. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Leeds planning before you rely on it.
The Leeds Planning Commission shall recommend approval or denial of the conditional use permit.  In recommending approval of any conditional use, the Leeds Planning Commission shall suggest regulations and conditions, which are necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.  In recommending approval of a conditional use permit, the Leeds Planning Commission shall find all of the following: 7.7.1.      That the proposed use is necessary or desirable and will contribute to the general well-being of the community or that the use will not be detrimental to the health, safety, or welfare of persons residing, or working in the vicinity, or injurious to property or improvements in the vicinity. 7.7.2.      That proposed use will comply with the regulations of this Ordinance. 7.7.3.      That the proposed use is in harmony with the intent and purpose of the Leeds General Plan. 7.7.4.      That the request satisfies all evaluation criteria for the district in which the request is being made.
