New Harmony zoning code

7-10 Time Limitation

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official New Harmony code is at https://newharmonyutah.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/nh-land-use-ordinance-2-3-20.pdf. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with New Harmony planning before you rely on it.
All Conditional Use Permits shall expire within a maximum period of one (1) year of issuance, unless there shall have been substantial performance toward the completion of the conditions set forth in the permit. The Land Use Commission may recommend and the Town Council may grant a maximum extension of six (6) months under exceptional circumstances. In the event that a Conditional Use Permit is granted on a temporary basis, the Land Use Commission may recommend and the Town Council may issue a permit for six (6) months, with one (1) maximum extension of six (6) months. A Conditional Use Permit shall be non-transferable.
