Ogden Valley City zoning code

106-2-2.110 Protection Strips

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Ogden Valley City code is at https://ogdenvalley.gov/municipal-code-2/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Ogden Valley City planning before you rely on it.
Where subdivision streets parallel contiguous property of other owners, the subdivider may establish a protection strip of not less than one foot in width located within the road rightof-way and lying next to the adjacent property. The said strip shall be deemed part of the dedicated right-of-way, provided that an agreement with the city and approved by the city attorney has been made by the subdivider. A land owner choosing to access property across the protection strip shall make payment to the original developer in an amount equal to the fair cost of the street improvements, plus the value of one-half the land in the street at the time of the agreement. This agreement shall expire ten years from the date the agreement was signed and shall become void.
