Pleasant View zoning code

18.04.540 Sign Area

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Pleasant View code is at https://www.pleasantviewut.gov/213/Municipal-Code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Pleasant View planning before you rely on it.
“Sign area” means the area of a sign that is used for display purposes, excluding the minimum frame and supports. In computing sign area, only one side of back-to-back signs covering the same subject shall be computed when the signs are parallel or diverge from a common edge by an angle of not more than forty-five degrees. In relation to signs that do not have a frame or a separate background, sign area shall be computed on the basis of the least rectangle, triangle or circle large enough to frame the display. (Ord. 87-17.03 (part), 1987: prior code §34-1-6(part))
