The purpose of this zone is to encourage imaginative and efficient utilization of land by providing greater flexibility in the location of buildings on the land, the consolidation of open spaces, and the clustering of dwelling units. These provisions are intended to create more attractive and more desirable environments within residential areas of the city. These zones are intended to allow for diversification in the relationship of various uses and structures to their sites and to encourage new and imaginative concepts in the design of neighborhood and housing projects in the city.
