The purpose of the Mixed Use Zones is to provide areas for development compatible with the major arterial highway corridors. It is intended that a variety of retail and office be intermixed in the area to create a walkable environment for workers, shoppers, residents and visitors while accommodating automobile traffic to regional services dependent upon a major transportation facility. It is also intended that some mixed use areas will include commercial and industrial uses in a planned environment consistent with such uses and compatible with other adjacent uses.
