The parks, recreation and open space zone is established to facilitate public recreation and open space uses. In the fringe areas of the city, the intent of the zone is similar to the agriculture zone in maintaining greenbelts and/or community separations between other municipalities through open space easements and development and/or density transfer provisions. Public property may be zoned accordingly to better guarantee and provide long term public open space uses. (Ord., 1-22-2002)
