Saratoga Springs zoning code

19.03.10 Hearings Conducted by the Hearing Examiner

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Saratoga Springs code is at https://www.saratogasprings-ut.gov/202/Land-Development-Code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. The city's use tables are images in its PDFs, so they appear nearly empty here. Check the official code for any use table. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Saratoga Springs planning before you rely on it.
1. The Hearing Examiner shall conduct hearings, may administer oaths to witnesses, may compel the attendance of witnesses, and may subpoena witnesses, documents, and other evidence. However, for appeals, the Hearing Examiner may only subpoena witnesses, documents, or other evidence if there is an inadequate record. If written minutes and staff reports with adopted findings and conditions are available, it shall be presumed that there is an adequate record. 2. The City Recorder shall keep minutes of the appeal hearing. 3. The written minutes and records, along with the application, written statements, and other facts bearing on the decision of the Hearing Examiner, shall be filed in the office of the City Recorder and shall be a public record. 4. The City Recorder shall make an audio recording of the proceedings of the Hearing Examiner and a copy may be requested from the City Recorder in accordance with the City’s policies for public records requests.
