Saratoga Springs zoning code

19.21.03 Area Requirements

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Saratoga Springs code is at https://www.saratogasprings-ut.gov/202/Land-Development-Code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. The city's use tables are images in its PDFs, so they appear nearly empty here. Check the official code for any use table. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Saratoga Springs planning before you rely on it.
1. In accordance with Utah Code § 17-81-201, the minimum number of continuous acres that must be included in an agriculture protection area within the City of Saratoga Springs is hereby established at forty acres. Land Development Code – Title 19-21 2. A variance to the minimum acreage requirement may be given for land which is used in intensive livestock operations or in fruit production. A variance may also be given if the acreage is contiguous to an existing agriculture protection area or contiguous to an existing or proposed agriculture protection area that is not within the City of Saratoga Springs. 3. Creation of an agriculture protection area shall not impair the ability of land within the area to obtain benefits of Utah Code § 59-2-501 -515, Farmland Assessment Act. The eligibility of land for the benefits of the Farmland Assessment Act shall be determined exclusively by the provisions of that act, notwithstanding the land’s location within an agriculture protection area.
