Wallsburg zoning code

4.2.3 Duties and Responsibilities

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Wallsburg code is at https://wallsburg.gov/development-code/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. The chapters the town posts pre-date revisions it approved in June 2023, September 2023 and February 2024, which aren't posted as clean text. Check those changes with the town. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Wallsburg planning before you rely on it.
The Wallsburg Planning Commission, hereinafter referred to as Planning Commission, Commission, or Administrative Body, organized in accordance to § 10-9-201 et. seq. of the Utah Code 1996, as amended, shall have the following duties and responsibilities: 1. To prepare a General Plan, any maps required by the plan, and amendments to the General Plan and recommend the plan or amendments to the plan to the Town Board. 2. To prepare this Development Code including zoning and subdivision regulations, any maps required by this Code, and amendments to this Development Code and recommend the code or amendments to the code to the Town Board. 3. Administer provisions of this Development Code as provided in this Code and approved by the Town Board. 4. Recommend approval or denial of subdivision and commercial applications in accordance to this Development Code. 5. Advise the Town Board on matters as the Board directs, and hear or decide any matters that the Board designates, including recommendations for approval or denial of Conditional Use Permits. 6. Exercise any other powers found in the adopted bylaws of the Planning Commission after approval by the Town Board, or powers that are necessary to enable the Commission to perform its function or those designated to the Commission by the Board. 7. To enter upon any land, under consideration for approval or which has been given a Conditional Use Permit, at reasonable times, to make examinations and surveys.
