Wellington zoning code

11-2 DEFINITIONS

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Wellington code is at https://www.wellingtonutah.gov/land-use-code.html. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Wellington planning before you rely on it.
Planned Unit Development for the purpose of this Code shall mean an integrated design for development of multiple uses or densities, in which one or more of the regulations of the zone in which the development is to be situated, is waived or varied to allow flexibility and innovation in site and building design and location, in accordance with an approved plan and imposed general requirements as specified in this Code. A Planned Unit Development may be: 1. the development of compatible land uses arranged in such a way as to provide desirable living environments that may include private and common open spaces for recreation, circulation, or aesthetic uses; 2. the conservation or development of desirable amenities not otherwise possible by typical development standards; or 3. the creation of areas for multiple use that are of benefit to the neighborhood.
