Cleveland zoning code

2-3.11 GENERAL ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Cleveland code is at http://www.clevelandtown.org/planning--zoning.htm. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Zoning ordinance only; the subdivision ordinance is a scanned image on the town's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Cleveland planning before you rely on it.
Whenever the Town finds that a violation of this ordinance or applicable State codes has occurred or continues to exist, the procedure outlined below shall be followed. The Town has the authority and power necessary to gain compliance with the provisions of the violated ordinance or statute. These powers include the power to issue notices of violation, to issue misdemeanor citations, to abate violations existing on public or private property, and to use any other remedies available under the Town ordinances and applicable State codes.
