Daniel zoning code

8.12.06 Setback Requirements

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Daniel code is at https://danielutah.gov/code-and-ordinances/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Title 8 only; a separate 2025 subdivision amendment ordinance is not merged in. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Daniel planning before you rely on it.
(1) Front Setback. All buildings and structures shall be set back at least thirty (30) feet to provide a landscaped front yard. (2) Side Setback. No building shall be located closer than twenty (20) feet to any side property boundary line. (3) Corner Properties. No building shall be located closer than thirty (30) feet to any street. Corner properties shall be treated as though they have two (2) front setbacks, and landscaping for the front setbacks would apply to both front setbacks. (4) Rear Setback. Interior Property Boundaries - No building shall be located closer than twenty (20) feet to any rear property lines. (5) Setbacks for lots bordering Residential Zones. See Section 8.21.19 for information on transitional development standards for non-residential uses bordering residential uses.
