Garden City zoning code

11C-2107 Development Standards

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Garden City code is at https://www.gardencityutah.gov/code. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Garden City planning before you rely on it.
Developers building affordable home units for sale or rent to income-eligible households may seek for a modification of development standards. i.e. density, accessory structures, reduced setbacks, or street design modifications. If a certified AHD is seeking modification of development standards, the developer must provide a conceptual plan and an explanation to the Town Council of why the requested modifications are needed. Within a rental community, affordable units may not be substantively different from market rate units in size, amenities, or condition. Certain modifications of development standards are awarded through administrative action. Other modifications require action of the Board of Adjustments.
