Lehi zoning code

19.020 Findings

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Lehi code is at https://www.lehi-ut.gov/government/codes-ordinances/development-code/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Lehi planning before you rely on it.
Lehi City makes the following findings: A. That wind and solar energy is an abundant, renewable, and nonpolluting energy resource and; B. That the conversion of wind and solar energy to electricity will reduce our dependence on nonrenewable energy resources and decrease the air and water pollution that results from the use of conventional energy sources and; C. That wind and solar energy systems enhance the reliability and power quality of the power grid, reduce peak power demands, and help diversify energy supply. D. The unnecessary proliferation of wind and solar energy facilities throughout the City can create a negative visual impact (visual pollution) on the community. E. The visual effects of wind and solar energy facilities can be mitigated by fair standards regulating their sitting, construction, maintenance and use.
