Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build.

An owner or operator of a short-term rental is responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable state and local taxes, including sales tax, transient room tax, and any other applicable taxes, whether remitted directly, through a third-party agency, or through an advertising platform. Owners who fail to collect or remit applicable taxes are not eligible for annual license renewal until the City receives evidence reasonably satisfactory to the City that the deficiency has been resolved. The City may conduct routine compliance reviews or request documentation reasonably necessary to verify appropriate tax remittance, subject to applicable confidentiality, GRAMA, and tax-record limitations.
