Piute County zoning code

Subdivision 3-1 DESIGN STANDARDS: Natural Conditions

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Piute County code is at https://piute.gov/your-government/county-departments/planning-and-zoning/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Piute County planning before you rely on it.
All subdivisions shall meet the following minimum standards: 1. The design and development of subdivisions shall preserve insofar as possible, cultural or historic sites, natural terrain, natural drainage, existing topsoil, trees, hillsides, etc. 2. Land subject to hazardous conditions (i.e., slides, mud flows, rock falls, snow avalanches, possible mine subsidence, shallow water table, open quarries, floods, etc.) shall be identified and shall not be subdivided until the hazards have been eliminated or will be eliminated by the subdivision and construction plans.

Subdivision 2-5 ADMINISTRATIVE LAND USE AUTHORITY: Duties and Powers · Subdivision 3-2 DESIGN STANDARDS: Lot Standards
