Piute County zoning code

Subdivision 3-3 DESIGN STANDARDS: Road Standards

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Piute County code is at https://piute.gov/your-government/county-departments/planning-and-zoning/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Piute County planning before you rely on it.
All roads in a subdivision shall meet the minimum standards of Piute County, in addition to the following: 1. All roads must have at least 6 inches of pit run rock and 3 inches of gravel. 2. All roads must be graded and drained with adequate crowning, pipe culverts, and barrow ditches. 3. All drainage and improvements must be accepted by the County. 4. These standards are the minimum required, and in some cases may be enhanced. 5. Each road proposal shall be reviewed, inspected, and approved by the County Public Works Director before any building permit is issued.
