Randolph zoning code

10-3-6 JOINT HEARINGS AND PLANNING SESSIONS

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Randolph code is at https://www.townofrandolphut.gov/town-council.htm. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Randolph planning before you rely on it.
At the option of the Town Board, the hearings before the Planning Commission and Town Board may be consolidated into a single hearing, provided that separate votes shall be taken by the Town Board and the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission vote shall be taken first followed by a vote of the Town Board on the recommendation by the Planning Commission. Notice for any joint hearings shall comply with the notice requirements set forth in this code. In order to coordinate and a means to address matters between the Town Board and the Planning Commission, the Town Board is authorized to require joint planning meetings. The Mayor shall notify the Town Board of such matters and the Town Board shall then determine whether joint planning sessions are required. Such joint planning sessions shall be for the purpose of discussion and education and are not intended to result in any formal recommendation during the joint planning sessions, although information presented at such sessions may be made part of the record of subsequent proceedings of either the Town Board or the Planning Commission related to the matter in question.
