Tooele County zoning code

1-10 Inspection

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Tooele County code is at https://www.tooeleco.gov/departments/development/land_use_ordinance.php. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 19 is a scanned image on the county's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Tooele County planning before you rely on it.
(1) The zoning administrator, the chief building official or their designated representatives are authorized to inspect or to have inspected all buildings and structures in the course of their construction, modification or repair, and to inspect land uses to determine compliance with the land use ordinance provisions. The zoning administrator or any authorized employee of the department of engineering shall have the right to enter any building for the purpose of determining the use, or to enter premises for the purpose of determining compliance with this land use ordinance, provided that such right of entry is to be used only at reasonable hours, unless an emergency exists. In no case shall entry be made to any occupied building in the absence of the owner, representative, employee or tenant thereof, without written permission of an owner, or written order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
