Tooele County zoning code

24-1-4 Sign permit process

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Tooele County code is at https://www.tooeleco.gov/departments/development/land_use_ordinance.php. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 19 is a scanned image on the county's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Tooele County planning before you rely on it.
Except for those signs allowed in Part 24-5, no person shall erect, install, or paint any sign or change the face of any sign, whether it be temporary or permanent in nature, without obtaining a sign permit from the Tooele County Department of Engineering except as specified in this chapter. This includes new signs, signs to be added to existing buildings or uses, and existing signs that are to be enlarged, changed, or modified. (Ord. 2002-13, 6/18/02) Section 24-2-1. 24-2-2. 24-2-3. Illegal signs. Enforcement authorization. Appeal.
