Tooele County zoning code

3-7 Amendment procedure

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Tooele County code is at https://www.tooeleco.gov/departments/development/land_use_ordinance.php. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 19 is a scanned image on the county's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Tooele County planning before you rely on it.
(1) The board of county commissioners may, from time to time, amend the number, shape, boundaries or area of any zone or any regulation within any zone or any other provisions of the land use ordinance. Any such amendment shall not be made or become effective unless the same shall have been proposed by or be first submitted to the appropriate planning commission for its recommendation. (2) This land use ordinance and the zoning map may be amended from time to time by ordinance duly enacted by the Board of County Commissioners in accordance with the procedures set out forth in 17-27a-502 and 1727a-205(1)(b), UCA.
