Tooele County zoning code

31-11 Site plan review

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Tooele County code is at https://www.tooeleco.gov/departments/development/land_use_ordinance.php. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Chapter 19 is a scanned image on the county's site and is not included. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Tooele County planning before you rely on it.
Site plans may be reviewed concurrently with a Project Plan or Subdivision Plat. Any proposed commercial, office, industrial, multi-family residential, open space, parks, or institutional developments and alterations to existing developments shall be located on legal lots of record created by metes and bounds conveyance with the approval of the Staff or pursuant to subdivision or condominium plats and shall meet the site plan review requirements outlined by Staff. All Tooele County ordinances and requirements (which may include additional sitespecific studies or reports, as necessary) shall be met in preparing site plan applications and in designing and constructing the development. Where applicable, building permits may not be obtained nor shall any site work be performed prior to site plan approval. (Ord. 2018-07, 6/19/18)
