Moroni zoning code

10-12-6 Change in Status of Non-Conforming Use

Unofficial copy. It may be out of date. Not legal or zoning advice. Zoning rules change, and only the city or county can say for sure what is allowed on a property. Confirm with the city or county planning department before you buy, sign or build. The official Moroni code is at https://moronicity.gov/city-government/city-ordinances/. Text pulled 2026-10-19 from this source. Tables (like use tables) may not copy cleanly, so check any table against the official code. Confirm anything here with Moroni planning before you rely on it.
If a non-conforming use is vacated, it may be succeeded by an equally restrictive or more restrictive use, provided such change is affected within six (6) months. After a change to a more restrictive use is in effect, that change shall be evidence that the less restrictive non-conforming use had been abandoned and thereupon loses any vested right as such, and the degree of nonconformity may not subsequently be increased by changing back to a less restrictive use. (Ord. 2000-4-12, 4-12-2000)
